Welcome to Dr. Adrien Chauvet’s group.

Our goal is to learn from Nature to tackle the challenges of today’s society.

Our group is using the latest development in laser technology to investigate molecules, biological protein complexes, solid-state and novel hybrid materials that are involved in proton, electron and energy transfers. By means of laser-based spectroscopy we are able to watch chemistry “live”. On one hand, we follow electron dynamics in exotic materials in the femto-second time scale. On the other hand, we follow biological cellular responses within micro-seconds time scale.

Adrien is also the founder of the Burhan Institute of Research, which dedicated to providing activities on the theme of Science and Religion. These activities aim to make faith relevant in our technological societies.
